Flag Seawing: Over and Under

Flag Seawing Logistics Pty Ltd operates from the two main trading cities in Australia, Sydney and Melbourne, yet they cover the entire Australian market for shipping. “Our core competencies lie in the development of customized logistics solutions, worldwide air and ocean freight as well as global project forwarding,” says Scott Rolfe, Flag Seawing’s managing director, “the strength of our worldwide network, our highly competent teams, backed by outstanding information technology which will open up further significant competitive advantages for our customers and agents.” Scott especially looks forward to the Aeroceanetwork meeting in Bangkok this November as he will be coming with intentions of building more business more closely with the overall Aeroceanetwork group.

Flag Seawing offers professional logistics services throughout the world and is a specialist for providing multi-modal solutions, providing significant cost and time savings. Using the combination of quality ocean and air carriers, Flag Seawing covers all the delivery terms required by its customers with easy to understand terms and tariffs. And this keeps their customers coming back. Seawing Landguard International are continuing to expand the current services on offer. Not long ago they announced a new LCL service from Sydney to the United Kingdom in conjunction with their group partner and fellow Aeroceanetwork member, Seawing Landguard International.

As Australia has a prosperous, Western-style capitalist economy, with a per capita GDP slightly higher than those of the UK, France and Germany. Although the Australian economy is dominated by its services sector (68% of GDP), it is the agricultural and mining sectors (8% of GDP combined) that account for 65% of its exports. In fact, the growing economies in the Asia-Pacific region are good news for Flag Seawing because this means more food exports. Flag Seawing provides specialist "Cool Chain Management" export and import services to the food and temperature-sensitive industries. Flag Seawing has dedicated cold storage, latest technology handling equipment and highly experienced staff and provides shippers of all fresh and frozen food products, as well as other perishable commodities, with first class, kid glove forwarding services.

Australia is also known around the world as a major exporter in wines. These exports have grown steadily. In fact in 2002 was an exceptional record year in a series of record years for Australian wine exports that stood out because it was the first year in which that Australian wine export sales surpassed domestic sales. The UK has continued to be Australia's major overseas destination for wine, at around 46% of the total volume exported. Flag Seawing has capitalized on this by working with their partners Seawing International in the UK on developing the wine trade business between the two countries. They intend to grow this business even more by opening an Adelaide office in the near future to better serve the market.

Although Flag Seawing’s traditional strength is ocean freight they also offer domestic and international airfreight service that covers all delivery terms and has easy to understand and transparent tariffs. Flag Seawing is also has been security certified as a Regulated Air Cargo Agent by the Australian Department of Transport and Regional Services. As well, Flag Seawing offers a customs clearance system, known as SpEDI Clearance, that works for all customers that demand a quick solution to obtain the goods once arrived at destination.
