Logistics Comes to Bangkok to Develop Mutual Trade

"Bangkok Chosen over Shanghai to Host Aeroceanetwork Asian Meeting"
Bangkok, November 17, 2005 - Delegates representing logistics companies
all over the world descend upon Bangkok this week to attend
Aeroceanetwork's All Asia Regional Conference. The meeting will be held
in the Landmark Hotel, which was chosen for its central location and
excellent reputation for hospitality. "The delegates will get lots of
work done this week," said Gary Dale Cearley, executive director of
Aeroceanetwork, "The fact they have come so far shows their dedication
to working together."
Aeroceanetwork is one of the world's premier networks of independent
professional logistics companies. Networks of this kind are important
for independent freight companies because the networks help them to
better compete internationally with the much larger multinational
forwarders. "We focus on the companies building logistics trade with one
another and this is done through maximizing the personal contact with
the shipping professionals," said Cearley, "And while there are a few
larger groups out there, much of our success comes from the fact that we
are a bit more selective on who can join and we don't load up too many
agents in one area."
They chose Bangkok as this year's meeting location due to practical
reasons. "Most of the companies are very happy to be coming here," said
Ms. Vu Lan Huong, Aeroceanetwork's membership coordinator, "Bangkok fit
our criterion very well as this city is becoming more and more important
as a regional logistics hub. Besides that several of our attendees have
told us they'd take a few days longer to spend some personal time
shopping and to see beautiful Thailand."
