Company Profile: It all started in 1923 in Weil upon Rhine. During the hard years after World War One, the founding families were able to establish the company as an authority in the business of the Rhine and inland navigation. At the beginning of the second half of the last century, the company reacted to the customers’ requirements and moved the company to Hamburg “The Gate to the World”. Due to solid performance, REIBEL was soon able to gain a top reputation not only in the general shipping and forwarding business but also in the field of project forwarding. In the sixties of the 20th century, new markets opened up with the Arabian and (North-) African countries which brought new transport techniques and new traffic routes. In order to fully comply with those new requirements, the Munich subsidiary was founded 45 years after the foundation of the company. Based on this subsidiary, the contemporary company originated, the REIBEL Company for International Shipping and Forwarding Ltd. |
